One room pass. A shared case.
A host account is needed to purchase a pass and create a room. Guests join free with the room code—no account or purchase needed.
An unused pass does not expire. The room’s 24-hour window starts when the room is created, including the lobby. Within that window, you can play more 15-minute rounds. Once the room expires, a new pass is needed for a new room.

ColdCase Escape is a browser mystery set in The Intake Room. Inspect 3D evidence, follow the clues, and solve three objectives in order. Each objective unlocks the next. This guide does not reveal the solutions.
Can I play solo or with a group?
Yes. Play solo, or bring up to three guests alongside the buyer: four detectives total in one room.
How long is a round?
Each round lasts 15 minutes. The case has three sequential objectives.
Does everyone need an account or a purchase?
The host needs an account to purchase a room pass and create a room. Guests can join with a room code without an account or purchase.
What does a room pass cost, and is checkout available?
One room pass costs $9.99 USD plus applicable tax. Paid checkout is not yet available while payment activation is in progress.
When does a room pass expire?
Unused passes do not expire. Once a room is created, its 24-hour access window begins immediately, including time spent in the lobby. You can repeat 15-minute rounds within that window.
What happens after the room's 24-hour window ends?
An expired room requires a new pass to create another room. Refunds or payment disputes revoke access.
Can I recover my place on another device?
A host can recover their active seat through their account on another device. A guest can recover their seat only in the same browser tab.
